Holiday Prep Without the Last-Minute Rush
Holiday plans can involve gifts, travel, meals, work deadlines, and family commitments at the same time. A short planning session now can prevent several urgent decisions later.
Start with dates. Put travel, gatherings, shipping cutoffs, school or work events, and preparation days on one calendar. Next, set a budget for the categories that matter to you. Make a gift or task list with an owner, an estimated cost, and a due date. Leave room for the unexpected instead of filling every weekend.
Then work backward from each event. If you are hosting, decide on the menu and guest count before shopping. If you are coaching a team through a busy season, set coverage and handoff dates early. If you manage a household, assign small jobs so one person is not carrying every detail.
A reusable planner turns these decisions into a visible schedule. A short video lesson can walk you through setting priorities and using a template, while the worksheet remains useful after the lesson ends.
Set a spending plan with the video lessons in Master Your Money. Then use the Christmas Gift Budget Tracker or the Thanksgiving Planner Spreadsheet to organize the details for your celebration.
